Fun and festive dresses for holiday parties this year.

I was reading Extra Petite (a fave!) and freaked out when I realized holiday parties are around the corner.  I’m usually so distracted writing cards and gift shopping; I end up throwing together mediocre last minute outfits.  NOT THIS YEAR!!

V.Ng’s company is having a holiday party so I ordered a few dresses from asos to try on.  I decided on the bright and festive taffeta dress.  This silhouette never fails me and should be appropriate since most of his colleagues are our age.  I’m still not sure if I’ll go with the bow sash or swap it out for a black patent belt, what do you think?

I love these patent heels – they were incredibly affordable and are a great match! (I also can’t wait to wear them with jeans.) I recently discovered shoe shopping on Amazon …and I never looked back.  (But seriously I have been doing almost all my gift shopping with Amazon Prime.  I’m addicted.)

I had a few back up alternatives to the dress – one slightly conservative and one stand out piece.  I love them both –  but, I’m too much of a klutz to wear white and the sweetheart looked better on me than the pin tucked collar.

I hope you all find something great to wear this holiday! I love my dress so much I am going to try to get my family to have a “formal” dinner this year so I can wear it again. Heh heh.
