So (don’t laugh) I saw Twilight Breaking Dawn pt.2!  One of my friends is moving to Hong Kong (awesome) so we sent her off with an elegant brunch followed by a movie matinee.  Brunch was at Riverpark which in my opinion, is a hidden gem.  It’s tucked behind hospitals and construction zones but looks gorgeous and is on the water.  The place was great (save one perilous hidden step.)

Of course we couldn’t let my friend go to HK without resolving the issue of Edward and Bella.  So we walked to the Kips Bay AMC for two hours of intense stares, decapitation and shirtless Taylor Lautner.

To say “I’m not a Twilight fan” would be a gross understatement.  I didn’t read the books and I barely tolerate the movies.  But they are such irresistible fun.  I actually admit this last one was not too bad.  And yes, I did love the “twist ending.”

As for today’s fashion illustration – I wanted something sweet (for brunch) and comfy (for stuffing my face with popcorn.)  Nothing says brunch like dots and pearls!  I love my J.Crew dot sweater – the whole thing is hand printed (amazing) so the color is gorgeous.  And, I think polka dots are a must-have for every season.  Top it off with a cute peter pan necklace (yes, I love collar necklaces) and voila – Brunch!

And to stay comfy during the film, flats are necessary for sprinting to the bathroom.  And, I always wear stretchy pants to the movies so I can eat as much popcorn as possible.  Stretch denim FTW!!!

Don’t you just love going to the movies?!
